Honor your mom.
Our moms are our role models, our disciplinarians, our confidantes, our rocks, our ATMs, our reality-checkers, our shoulders to cry on, our creators, our providers, our strength. Don’t ever take them for granted. Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11, 2008. Honor your mom for making you the headstrong person you are today.

Mind your health. Heal your mind.
Over 30,000 Americans die each year from suicide; however, an attempt is made every minute. If you have ever contemplated suicide, you are not alone. Approximately 90% of people who die from suicide have a diagnosable psychiatric disorder. An estimated 26% of Americans ages 18 & older suffer from depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, and other mental health disorders. This translates to over 58 million adults, not to mention the growing number of conditions being identified in children. Just like physical conditions, mental disorders can be serious and even fatal. May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. Educate yourself and help erase the stigma. Knowledge is power. Together we can save lives.
